Missouri Pettway

Honoring Our Elders

Ella Bendolph | Missouri Pettway | My Dad and His Siblings

We are blessed to have such an incredible and rich legacy of strength, persistence, courage, and resolve. When I see them, I see me.

Ms. Missouri Pettway

is my grandmother’s sister. She is also featured as one of the beloved quilters of Gees Bend. One of her quilts is featured on the Soul Grown Deep Foundation’s website as well.
